The Lakehouse Bell are Chris Smallwood (guitar, volcals) and Steve Arnold (cello). They hail from Leytonstone and Forest Gate in East London, while their origins are by the rivers Trent and Medway.

Their music is forged of influences from Bert Jansch to the Banshees, from Joy Division to Scott Walker, from Fairport Convention to Dub, from Kraftwerk to John Barry to Bach and back again.

The result is a soulful folk with a country groove on the surface, and a tale to tell from within, as Chris's vocals and guitar play out songs of lyrical reflections on modern living, of the urban and mundane, of humour, people & places, while Steve's cello pushes and pulls the beat in a decadent waltz with neo-classical and upright cello bass.

And they are...available for work.
